social software and other approaches of Web 2.0 in educational contexts have very high potential and are increasingly used in such. Learning is in most cases and especially in informal Educational settings is a social process, which can be transported through the Web formative principles. On the one hand, the typical disadvantages that hinder the success of classical e-learning scenarios are mitigated, to enable others to social software configured e-Learning offers a number of further added value to traditional learning contexts. In particular, facilitate the participation of low barriers for users to access to learning opportunities, encouraging their active participation and accountability and transparency of learning and communication processes and permit the analysis and evaluation for future learning situations (metalearning).

For a successful use of Web technologies and social software in e-learning are several challenges must be addressed at five levels in research and development:
• Applications: specific web applications for learning specific functions are to make
interaction •: the role of different interaction interfaces and principles for Web-based Interaction is explored.
